Progress Pics!

We now have lights!

And they even work!!

And vinyl flooring, woohoo!!

So, all that's left on our house is to put the trex (sp??) decking on top of the 2 deck structures that are already built on the front & side of our house, adding on a couple of doorknobs, sanding down the sticky doors that aren't quite closing right (oops--good thing it was us that hung them) and finish a couple of shelves & rods in the closets. Can you believe it?! Neither can we! Stop by for a visit if you're in the neighborhood and we'll give you a tour (you just have to make sure and wipe your feet:))!

Signs of life

The first sign of a living organism at the Irwin home! Every family was given a beautiful birch tree to plant in their yard...It makes it look like a home...we know it really isn't. It is just a big pile of wood, nails and sheet rock. It won't be long now.

My Dad, My Validator...

Eli, our head contractor, put it great one day. He said that he thinks it's great when my dad Jake, is out working with me because he validates me and makes me a more confident, competent builder. So here's to you dad, my validator, thanks for making me a better woman and a better builder at that!

THE MATTRIX (Pronounced Matrix)

So the "Gig Tuna" came to help today. Matt Cherry rolled his Canadian hind parts out of bed after only three or four short hours of sleep to come help on the Irwin Farm (home building project)
Most of the day Matthew didn't do much other than play with the camera (in actuallity he hung most of the doors in our house). Throughout the day we hung doors and set underlayment in our kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room and entry way (anywhere we are putting vinyl flooring).

Will and Matt put everything in place (actually pretending to work)

Krystal and Will cutting underlayment for the kitchen

(krystal was very emotional about the process)

Krystal did the nailing!

Finished product

Introducing...Jonah Elias Knudson! And it's a Good Friday indeed!

He's one proud daddy!!
I do love being an adopt-an-auntie!
We want one too...just not yet!!!
So handsome!!
Jonah arrived yesterday, April 5th, 2007, weighing in at 7lbs 13oz, 20.75" long (or short I guess). He's very precious and again, Krystal and Will are on the adopt-an-auntie and uncle program. I left a welcome home note for Jonah and his parents on their door today, to remind them that forever they will remember this Good Friday as a GOOD Friday indeed...that they got to bring home the newest and tiniest member to their family and most importantly that Jesus loved them all so much that He went to the cross for them on this day. So these are the proud pics!
